Dado's House

My Dado’s house holds deep significance for me, it’s where many of my childhood memories were made. This series captures photographs of the kitchen, basement, and bedroom in her house, spaces tied to those formative moments. With my Dado Jaan living with Alzheimer's and my Dado passing, these places now hold weight, representing both presence and loss. By blending vertical sections of each room into a single image and incorporating areas of transparency, the work visualizes the way memory fades and distorts over time. It highlights not just the spaces and what has been left behind, but also the emotional distance that emerges when revisiting the past through recollection.
